Trump's Speech To Congress - Think Big

I enjoyed President Trump's speech to Congress. I thought it was bold and optimistic. Trump may not be an ethno-Nationalist, but he is a civic nationalist and he wants to try to improve the country. He realizes that a strong border is necessary and that we can't be the policeman of the world. That is an improvement from what we have had in years.

Thankfully, he did not offer amnesty was was previously rumored. Trump did mention he preferred to allow in only immigrants based on merit and who won't rely on government welfare. If that policy is implemented that will basically exclude most of the Third World immigrants. A de facto way to repeal the 1965 immigration act.

As we racially fracture, I still have some doubts as to how much Trump can accomplished. But one thing I have learned is to never underestimate Trump.

  1. How funny. You write "he preferred to allow in only immigrants based on merit and who won't rely on government welfare. If that policy is implemented". Haha. Laughing so shortly.
That's the policy that's been implemented since 1954. I'm not in America now because this policy was valid all through my lifetime. But this policy obviously has had outtakes in its implementation: Mexicans can migrate to you without fulfilling these conditions. And generally the Third World has lower bars of achievement. They have to reach less before being admitted to the United States than we here.
No, Trump/Pence/Sessions is no improvement to the situation before them except that this discrimination in favour of Mexicans against Europeans will now be abolished.
